Licensed Master Social Worker

Emma Hart received her master’s degree in Clinical Social Work from NYU where she received training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Gestalt Therapy. Prior to graduate school, Emma graduated Summa Cum Laude, was a Babbidge Scholar, and received the Award for Excellence in Psychological Sciences from the University of Connecticut. Emma has experience treating adolescents and adults with eating disorders, anxiety, body image, depression, and life transitions in a variety of settings including Intensive Outpatient and Partial Hospitalization treatment programs.

Emma partners with clients who feel they are living a life controlled by harmful thoughts and behaviors, and who wish to reconnect to their authentic self and create the life they deserve. Emma particularly enjoys working with adolescents and young adults, and has experience collaborating with families and multidisciplinary treatment teams. Emma believes that effective therapy hinges on a trusting and collaborative relationship between the therapist and client, and she is committed to using personalized treatments to meet the individual needs of her client’s unique circumstances, history and mental health concerns.
